Title: Approval by the Board of Education of Amendment No. 2, Memorandum of Understanding and Engagement Policy (MOUEP) by and between District and Lozano Smith LLP, Walnut Creek, CA, for the latter to provide more of the same legal services to the District in the areas of defense of Government Code claims and civil litigation (including personnel matters, claims and civil litigation related to charter schools); and general legal advice and counsel as requested by the Office of General Counsel on an as needed basis for fiscal year 2024-2025, in an additional amount of $205,000.00, increasing the not to exceed amount from $500,000.00 to $705,000.00, for the 2024-2025 fiscal year (only). All other terms and conditions of the MOUEP remain in full force and effect.
