Approval by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and HERO, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide a variety of counseling, mentoring, and leadership services to Title I, Latino and African-American students , including social skills classes three times a week; boys mentoring program twice a week; a young HERO Leadership Program for upper grade student's twice a week; a positive behavior class for SDC students and weekly interactive cooperative activities to improve student engagement and to maintain a positive school culture; professional development as needed and appropriate and support in the form of organized games and physical activities with all grade levels, at Global Family Elementary School, for the term August 22, 2016 through June 9, 2017, in an amount not to exceed $30,000.00.
