Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and Oakland Schools Foundation, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide 400 hours of full needs assessment for school, including classrooms, library, whole school wireless, main office etc; develop plan and timeline for completion of tech set up, support, maintenance, and training; work with administrative assistant to identify needed tech supplies and do the purchasing; set up of wireless system for school, including 6 access points; clean, re-image, and secure all computers in school; set up three new laptop carts and all 90 new laptop computers, including software and hardware; create system for staff use of laptop carts - sign in, sign out, accountability, and reporting of needed maintenance; set up of LCD/doc camera system with cart in each classroom; set up system for sign in, sign out, and use of classroom sets of Turning Technology Responders; ensure all internet connections are working throughout school; set up and move in all new computers (HP) into library computer lab, move and reconfigure older computers to be evenly distributed to each classroom; capacity building: design, set up, and facilitate staff worskhops for use of new technology, including laptop carets, responders, LCD/doc cameras, and new tech support in-house (training to occur in August and September), create training for staff on how to report maintenance issues at Urban Promise Academy for the period of September 1, 2010 through September 30, 2010, in an amount not to exceed $20,000.00.
