Title: Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and Norm Gold Associates, Berkeley, CA, for the latter to provide technical assistance related to the implementation of programs for English Learners (ELs), as specifically described in the Scope of Work, incorporated herein by reference as though fully set forth, with the aim of helping the District to assess the effectiveness of its current process and procedures for the identification and placement of ELs and subsequent reclassification of ELs as Fluent English Proficient (RFEP) students; and the making of recommendations that will lead to the refinement and improvement of procedures that will result in an optimal identification and reclassification process, through the Leadership, Curriculum and Instruction Department, for the period of March 31, 2014 through June 30, 2014, in an amount not to exceed $5,000.00.
