Title: Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between District and Dorothy Courtney, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide 253 hours of essential safety services aligned to the school's Single Plan for Student Achievement, including (1) training student managers in conflict resolution, schedule assignments and conflict resolution sessions for students, supervising conflict managers, (2) implementing Second Steps strategies into conflict resolution program, (3) collecting and tallying Second Step lessons taught by teachers, (4) organizing student activities during recesses to minimize conflicts and discipline referrals, for 5 days per week, 6 hours per day, mostly resolving conflicts (via conflict mentors) of students referred by teachers and/or other conflict mentors, at Sobrante Park Elementary School, for the period September 12, 2011 through November 9, 2011, in a not to exceed amount of $3,300.00.
