Title: Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and Maria Watson, Oakland, CA, for the latter to serve as a Response to Intervention (RTI) consultant who supports identified students who are not meeting grade level benchmarks and for whom Tier I interventions are not supportive enough: monitor closely student progress, provide evidence-based interventions and adjust interventions depending on a student's needs; work directly with students and teachers to provide during the day push in and pull out academic support in the core academic areas and socio-emotional behavioral support as needed to ensure student success; act as primary liaison between school and home and provide ongoing support to students outside of school by providing regular progress monitoring and meeting with parents monthly at Burckhalter Elementary School, for the period of September 15, 2014 through June 19, 2015, in the amount not to exceed $20,000.00.
