Title: Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and Arnoldo Garcia, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide restorative justice services which includes training 100% of classroom teachers and support staff on restorative approaches to behaviors, establish and create structures that need to be in place for this work to be sustainable, train 20-25 parents on holding community and restorative circles and meet with them bi-monthly, and train 20 or more students on holding community and restorative circles on a weekly basis; hold restorative circles as needed at the site, develop the capacity of site personnel in holding restorative approaches, meet weekly with the school principal to assess work and review systems, communicate daily on circles completed, co-create advisory curriculum and be an active member of the climate and culture leadership team, at United for Success Academy, for the period of October 21, 2013 through December 31, 2013, ...
