Approval by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between District and Alternatives in Action, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide 238 hours of services as follows: enroll at least 25 sixth through ninth grade students in a summer leadership academy; offer the following major program elements: leadership skills, building school culture, enrichment, health/nutrition, and literacy services; participate in support and resource development activities provided by OUSD where it is appropriate; meet weekly with the full extended day program staff for training and development, and meet weekly with middle school collaborative partners in conducting program planning, implementation, and evaluation; required regular meetings with the school principal or other identified designee to ensure collaboration with the school vision, as described in the Scope of Work, incorporated herein by reference as though fully set forth, at Life Academy, for the period July 1, 2013 through August 5, 2013, in an amount not to exceed $11,879.00.
