Title: Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and National Equity Project (BayCES) Oakland, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide 60 hours of professional coaching services to Garfield Elementary in two interrelated strands: 1) Planning and facilitation of August staff retreat; and 2) Equity-Centered Professional Learning Community Development School; provided support to the site leader and the site leadership team to identify appropriate norms of interaction and revising our collective efforts to achieve school wide student achievement goals. The days of training have included training for the site administration in facilitation skills with the staff, training for the site grade levels and training for all the teacher on site at two day long training sessions at Garfield Elementary School for the period of August 15, 2010 through June 30, 2011, in an amount not to exceed $7,500.00.
