Ratification by the Board of Education of Professional Services Contract between District and Arnoldo Garcia, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide 1,400 hours of Restorative Justice services which include: training 100% of classroom teachers and support staff on restorative approaches to behaviors, establishing and creating structures that need to be in place for work to be sustainable, training 20-25 parents on holding community and restorative circles and meeting with them bimonthly, training 20+ students on holding community and restorative circles on a weekly basis, holding restorative circles as needed at the site, developing the capacity of site personnel in holding restorative approaches, meet weekly with the school principal to assess work and review systems; communicate daily on circles completed; co-created advisory curriculum and be an active member of the Climate and Culture Leadership Team (meets bimonthly), for the period November 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012, at a cost not to exceed $70,000.00.
