Title: Approval by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and Reading Partners, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide 1,152 hours of services to operate a tutoring program from 9 p.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Thursday; in collaboration with school leadership and teaching staff identify students based on school intervention planning needs; provide one-to-one tutoring services for K-5 students; tutoring starting late September through end of school year; create and support individual student reading plans for those enrolled in the program; provide 45 minute tutoring sessions two times a week utilizing structured curriculum-based materials - to a minimum of 40 students; place full time Site Coordinator to allow for strong coordination and communication between Reading Partners and school staff; 4 check-ins per program year with school staff to discuss student progress and areas of focus for students; provide progress reports, student work and student asses...
