Title: Approval by the Board of Education of Amendment No. 1, Professional Services Contract between the District and Myrtha Muse, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide an additional 117 hours of dance instruction, with the following outcomes: a culminating exercise in which students grades 2-5 will perform dances for the student body and school community; an increase in the number of fifth grade students who score proficient on the science section of the California Standards Test; an increase in the number of students who score proficient in English Language Arts on the California Standards Test; increase by 10% the number of African-American students who score proficient in ELA at Laurel Elementary School, in an additional amount of $4,680.00, increasing the not-to-exceed amount of the contract from $7,200.00 to $11,880.00 and extending the contract period from September 13, 2010 through February 18, 2011 to May 30, 2011.
