Title: Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between District and Community Alliance for Learning (CAFL), Albany, CA, for the latter to provide 500 hours of service to plan the writing coach program, work out logistics at the school, develop a coaching schedule with teachers, and hire and oversee personnel for the program at Media College Preparatory Academy; recruit and schedule volunteers for trainings; train volunteers on strategies to engage students and help them improve writing skills, and the WCC site coordinator(s) develop and coach teams, collaborate with the teacher, communicate assignments to coaches, and supervise coaching on site; conduct program assessment and submit a report to the school, for the period March 1, 2010 through June 20, 2010, in an amount not to exceed $20,000.00.
