Title: Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between District and Man Cheng, Berkeley, CA, for the latter to provide 217 hours of service by teaching 300 students from grades 3-5, five days per week and coaching in percussion, bowing, plucking string instruments; teach individual lessons in music theory to students; teach music ensemble class; teach students musical techniques, note reading, proper phrasing of Chinese and other multicultural folksongs and orchestral music; and provide instruction on the history of Chinese and Asian music and use music and songs to teach students about history as well as increase literacy in History and Language Arts at Lincoln Elementary School, for the period January 28, 2013 through April 30, 2013, in an amount not to exceed $6,500.00.
