Title
Ratification by the Board of Education of a No Cost Services Agreement (SA) and a Data Sharing Agreement (DSA) by and between the District and The Oakland REACH, Oakland, CA, for the latter through the SA to provide:
• Access for Students to Amira, a high-impact virtual reading tutoring platform
• Access for OUSD district administrators, as identified, to Amira for purposes of accessing
information about Students performance and progress within Amira
• Provide aggregated information about Students' performance within Amira to OUSD district
administrators, as requested
• Real-time coaching and support to families from a dedicated Family Success Coach
• Tech support to families for logging in, navigating platforms, and troubleshooting issues for
Amira platform
• Progress updates and help to families in understanding student learning data related to use of
Amira platform
• Family engagement opportunities like surveys and feedback sessions
• REACH will respond to all family text messages within two (2) business days, including questions
about coaching, tech access, or student progress,
at no cost to the District; and, for the period of August 18, 2025 through June 30, 2026, at no cost to the District, and through the DSA, the terms and conditions of the District’s transmission of or sharing of pupil data with The Oakland REACH and the protection by The Oakland REACH, of such data, for the same term as the SA, via the Special Education Department.
