Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and Douglas Calderon, Oakland, CA, for the latter to offer introductory classes to students around visual arts from a culturally responsive perspective that incorporates information on indigenous peoples; support classroom teachers in the implementation of Studio Habits of Mind to support Arts Integration throughout the curriculum, including, but not limited to, large scale art projects for classrooms and set design; engage students in murals and other on site forms of artistic expression, including 2-3 classes, partnership with 2-3 teachers and an extension of activities as needed, at Alliance Academy, for the term August 21, 2017 through June 11, 2018, in an amount not to exceed $26,000.00.
