Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and The Hanen Centre, Toronto, ON, for the latter to provide a certified Hanen trainer to host a three-day training (18 hours total, 6 hours a day) to a group of 2-3 District early childhood teachers as well as professionals from the surrounding area in the Hanen Learning Language and Loving It (LLLI) Program, which teaches language development strategies that can be easily woven into everyday classroom activities for early childhood educators, designed to engage and maintain the interest of the children, making language and literacy-learning a fun and natural part of their day, for the Special Education Department, for the period of May 1, 2019 through August 31, 2019, in an amount not to exceed $1,690.00.
