Title

Approval by the State Administrator of a Professional Services Agreement between District and Bay Area Coalition for Equitable Schools (BayCES), for the latter to provide coaching and technical assistance to the Instructional Leader and Instructional Leadership Team so that leaders are able to effectively: articulate a clear instructional vision and expectations for teaching and learning in every classroom; implement classroom observation protocols and tools to effectively provide instructional coaching and support to classroom teachers; cultivate and lead equity-centered professional learning communities focused on the improvement of teaching and learning and student needs; make strategic use of content-based and instructional services providers to improve teaching and learning in every classroom; lead on-going cycles of assessment, data review and analysis, and instructional improvement; and engage in rigorous self-assessment and learning to strengthen their leadership for equity and the positive effects of their leadership as measured by a positive school climate, improved instructional practice, increased student engagement, and gains in student achievement and equity at Dewey High School, for the period July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009, in an amount not to exceed $10,000.00.
