Title: Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and Idea Builder Labs, LLC, Alameda, CA, for the latter to advise on Skilled Trades Fabrication Laboratory (FabLab) operations, including but not limited to: 1) Review the lab operations on an ongoing basis and provide suggestions on ways to improve it; 2) Provide technical support for the Instructor of Shop Teacher FabLab, faculty and students as needed; 3) Source equipment; 4) Specify and source materials; 5) Recommend space programming/layout; 6) Assist in setting up vendor agreements; 7) Design and fabricate organizational systems; 8) Assist in the ordering of equipment and materials; 9) Oversee the installation and placement of equipment; 10) Provide advice and feedback with curriculum development; 11) Recommended curriculum and projects; and 12) Train faculty and staff on the safe use and operations of equipment, under the District's California Apprenticeship Initiative Pre-Apprentices...
