Title: Approval by the Board of Education of a Services Agreement 2023-2024 by and between the District and Street Academy Foundation, Oakland, CA, for the latter to operate the Emiliano Zapata Street Academy (aka Street Academy), as a credit recovery/dropout prevention alternative high school, providing a fully accredited college preparatory and career readiness program implementing the independent study model of attendance using work samples as well as daily attendance which allows the best support for enrolled students to meet their needs and to keep them in school, assisting at-risk students (approximately 115 students in grades 9-12); and having the Counselor Teacher Mentor (CTM) model provide a holistic educational experience with teachers also serving as counselors and mentors utilizing a restorative justice model of interaction, for the period of August 7, 2023 through May 23, 2024, in an amount not to exceed $736,835.00.
