Title: Ratification by the Board of Education of a Services Agreement 2024-2025 by and between the District and Junior Center of Art and Science, Oakland, CA, for the latter to engage students in visual arts activities and programs that align with the science standards for K-2nd; teach arts and science vocabulary and engage students in hands-on skill building in drawing, painting, collage, and sculpture that enhance the learning in the science units; introduce students to multiple materials, tools, and the strategies for their use, as a means for their own individual art making; engage students in all aspects of the elements of art and principles of design as they simultaneously develop their understanding of the science curriculum for their grade levels; and conclude with a showcase to display their creative process and celebrate the works of art created at Emerson Elementary School, for the period of September 9, 2024 through March 17, 2025, in an amount not to exceed $23,100.00.
