Ratification by the Board of Education of a No Cost Services Agreement-2025-2026 by and between the District and Sierra Club, Oakland, CA, for the latter to offer its Inspiring Connections Outdoors (ICO) Program in which ICO volunteers partner with individual OUSD teachers to provide students with experiences in nature that engender a connection with the natural world, with outings including day hikes, visits to natural destinations (i.e. elephant seals at Ano Nuevo State Park), overnight camping, snow trips, backpacking, and other outdoor experiences, with trips led by trained Sierra Club ICO volunteers and funded by ICO and with OUSD teachers and ICO volunteers collaboratively deciding on trip destinations, plan outing activities and carry out the outings at Oakland High School, for the period of September 1, 2025, through September 1, 2028, at no cost to District.
