Approval by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between District and Oakland Schools Foundation, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide 1,080 hours of service as follows: 1) select, train, and supervise a part-time Pre-College Advisor who will work in Coliseum College Prep Academy's (CCPA) Family and College Resource Center to promote college attendance by guiding parents in (a) developing their understanding of college, (b) planning for their child's educational future, and (c) participating in data-based conversations with their child about grades, reading and language skills, and his/her growth/performance in classes; 2) select, train, and supervise three part-time Consultants who will work in CCPA's Family and College Resource Center (a) to develop and implement family engagement strategies, and (b) to organize workshops and other activities for families and school staff on supporting student achievement in school and at home, as described in the Scope of Work, incorporated herein by reference as though fully set forth, for the period January 25, 2012 through June 30, 2012, in an amount not to exceed $54,000.00.
