A discussion by and between the Measure G1 - Districtwide Teacher
Retention and Middle School Improvement Act Oversight Commission
and Staff of criteria to be used in reviewing a School’s approved G1
Application during a Site Visit and the report to be made following the Site
Visit.
Chairperson Grover yielded the floor to Vice Chairperson Muhammad for a
discussion on best practices to Administer Measure G1 Sites Visits and
Report findings of the same at G1 Commission Meetings.

Vice Chairperson Muhammad announced her resignation from the Measure
G1 Commission. Vice Chairperson Muhammad, after announcing her
resignation expressed her grievances with the challenge of requesting
Measure G1 Commission Staff to provide information on Grant Proposals,
and the Board of Education vote on Resolution No. 2324-0071 - Adopting and
Issuing Official Notice to the North Oakland Community Charter School of a
Material Breach of their Agreement with the Oakland Unified School District
entered into as of January 8, 2020 and subsequently amended on December
9, 2020, as adopted on March 27, 2024.
