Title: Denial by the Board of Education of the renewal of the Roses In Concrete - Petition and Proposed Charter - Grades K-8 - for the term July 1, 2020-June 30, 2025 (Renewal) by adopting the attached staff report, incorporated herein by reference as though fully set forth, as the Board's written findings for denial which show, among other things, low academic achievement, particularly for certain student groups (Black/African-American students, Hispanic/Latinx students, Socioeconomically Disadvantaged students, English Learner, and students with disabilities), and, after considering increases in pupil academic achievement for all groups of pupils served by the charter school as the most important factor in determining whether to grant a charter renewal, basing this denial, at least in part, on the findings therein which conclude that the charter school presents an unsound educational program for the pupils to be enrolled in the charter school and the petitioners are demonstrably unlikely to...
