Approval by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and Oakland Public Education Fund, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide parent engagement and training around key academic support areas, particularly focusing on the new demands of the Common Core State Standards, and how this may affect the type of work students are asked to do, both in school and at home; provide training to and information on A-G course requirements and strategies for supporting academic language and literacy, via the Office of Post-Secondary Readiness, for the period of January 3, 2017 through June 15, 2017, in an amount not to exceed $17,200.00.
