Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and Spanish Speaking Unity Council, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide the following services for the 2016-2017 school year: support for Latino and African American at-risk students in developing strong academic, behavioral and social emotional skills; accelerate student academic achievement in core curriculum areas; increase the graduation rate of African-American and Latino young men; provide targeted intervention for struggling students by engaging teachers, students and families in dialogue around how best to increase student achievement, at Elmhurst Community Preparatory School, for the period of August 22, 2016 through December 30, 2016, in an amount not to exceed $12,000.00.
