Title

Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and Margy Salguera, San Pablo, CA, for the latter to provide more full service community programs to foster youth in OUSD, show positive improvement in students' attendance, grades and family engagement, as well as increase partnerships with Alameda County Office of Education and increase family participation in OUSD's full service community school model; work with individual students to meet their educational needs and goals; advocate for special education students; facilitates student enrollment and regular school attendance to provide school placement stability and tutorial and other academic support services for foster youth and provides general information regarding education issues to foster youth;  relays information about credits and educational options to students, child welfare workers and Foster Youth Services staff; collaborates with District school staff personnel to verify school progress, grades, attendance; consults with Foster Youth Services staff related to community resources; verifies information for the Health and Education Passport and supports youth transitioning from one placement to another; maintains a regular schedule to visit foster youth, requiring driving to various locations throughout the Bay Area; completes logs and schedules relating to specific activities with each student for use in yearly report, and perform other duties as required, via Community Schools and  Student Services Department, for the period of July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017, in an amount not to exceed $30,000.00.
