Approval by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and Oakland Public Education Fund, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide the following services: 1) Strategic communications to increase family school communications about Alliance Academy School Transformation (community engagement following Full Service Community School and Family Engagement principles) via bilingual school newsletters, brochures, photography and translation services; create materials to support student recruitment to Alliance Academy Middle School and sharing of school vision and community engagement with vision. 2) Support school program development for cultural programs/workshops, student recognition incentives and field trips. 3) Professional learning opportunities through FamEli for parent liaison coordinator who will guide collaboration, school-home dialogue, parent leadership training. 4) Provide additional cultural opportunities to support OUSD programs, guest representatives, workshops, assemblies and field trips. 5) Facilitate whole staff Restorative Justice Tier 1-3 training, for the period August 25, 2014 through June 30, 2015, in an amount not to exceed $140, 775.00.
