Title
Approval by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and Youth Together, Oakland, CA, for the latter to to meet twice monthly with site administrators to plan implementation of the full-service community school plan, support integration of youth and parent leadership throughout all full-service community school efforts; develop and provide oversight of a seamless system of support services for students and families; conduct out reach to students and families about available resources and how to refer; design programs to support student transitions, including but not limited to transition between grades or re-entry from the juvenile justice system; conduct training for service providers to understand and align programs with school structures, systems, curriculum and goals; work with school staff and administration to integrate academic and nonacademic supports; establish systems to manage and maintain quality partnerships; develop sustainable partnerships with city, county and nonprofit agencies; facilitate integration and coordination of site-based services with other District programs and services; assist school and partner agencies with resource management and development, including fund development and grant maintenance; participate in professional development opportunities provided by District and other partners around development of full-service community schools at Castlemont Community of Small Schools, via the Office of Family, Schools, and Community Partnerships, for the period of February 15, 2012 through June 30, 2012, in an amount not to exceed $15,000.00.
